I think imagration should have been allowed freely, becouse they were moving to get away from the hardships to have a better life to where they could have money and a good life for them and there kids. Today I think that people should just accept the fact that people are going to move here and not discriminat them so much! I think the weeknesses are that there are a lot of people comming over illigally and they need to find a way to stop it.
My opinion on immigration is that it shouldnt have been allowed so freely in the 1800's. Actually I dont think that anybody should have been allowed to immagrate over to America an dI still dont think that immigration should be allowed in America. I believe hat the strengths of immigration polocies today are strange. I do not think that immigration should be allowed today but I do think that the U.S should give other countries so much money each year. I used to think that we should only let a few people immigrate over here, but that wold be unfair.
Yes, because if it weren't for immigration in the early 1800's I, Alexis Wiltfong, would not be born in the U.S today! Immigration today I think is fair but we still need to control the illegal alliens.
The gateway to a new world is about how immigrants coming to America with nothing but one suitcase some did not even have that and some started with nothing and just started from scrach with nothing but a little bit of money and they worked for the little bit of money they had in a sweatshop for little or no money.

I believe immigration is a good thing. If a personwants to go to a different country, let them! I believe in the early 1800s the US letting immigrants in freely was OK. Today is the same. I feel that not letting people in if they were contagiously sick was good, so that's a strength. Today, though, it's getting harder and harder to find a job, so some immigrants would end up on the street, so that's a weakness.

I believe that immigration should not have been allowed so freely during the 1800s because even though they check the people that try to come to America they can still have bad diseases and spread it throughout America.Today immigration is a lot better because it is more secure and there is less people coming in than there was in the 1800s.I think the strengths of immigration is that Americans can meet new people and have more people to work for them in their shops.The weaknesses of immigrationis that the people coming in from other countries could have bad diseases or could be terrorists.This is the way I feel about immigration in the 1800s and today.

I think that immigration laws need to be more tough because we still have alot of people in the United States and right here in Huntsville, Alabama that are illegal immigrants. To have the same rights as somebody that lives in the United States and a citizen is not fair. Immigrants need to become citizens or be sent back to their own country.
